A few weeks ago, someone recommended to me a film called 'What the Bleep Do We Know?' It had a limited screening over here, but I did manage to catch it in London last month.
I was so intrigued by its premise, that I ordered my own copy from Amazon and have since seen it twice more with friends.
If you have _any_ curiosity about what we are doing on this planet, where are we going, or more precisely 'Where _Can_ We Go?', then I really commend this film to every one of my fellow Refer-OnLine members (and no I am not earning commission!)
This film will NOT fit neatly into any category: It's a drama, it's a documentary, it's an animation, it's a comedy. It is all of those things, but what it really makes you do is THINK!
This film tells you about Quantum Physics (in such a way that you actually understand it!) But what I found absolutely amazing, is the idea that our reality is not actually shaped by the world and events that we see around us, but rather it is shaped by what goes on inside our brains - and we can control that. Therefore we can control our reality.
If you see no other film this year, find a way to see 'What The Bleep Do We Know?' As one of the scientists in the film says 'Not to be curious about these things is to be three quarters of the way to being dead!'
I'm happy to organise local viewings for anyone who would like to see it at my place.
